Philipp Mayhew, BVMS, DACVS, Associate Professor

Dr. Mayhew graduated from veterinary school in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1996. After three years in general practice he completed an internship, post-doctoral research fellowship and residency in small animal surgery at the University of  Pennsylvania Veterinary School. He became a boarded member of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2005. After two years on the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School he is currently Professor of Small Animal Surgery at the University of California-Davis.

 

His research interests include all aspects of minimally invasive surgery especially the development of new laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgical techniques to reduce complication rates and post-operative pain in small animal surgery.
